How Was The Alleged Parade Shooting Suspect Identified?

According to prosecutors, an argument began after Young and two other individuals approached another group. The surveillance footage revealed a heated exchange occurred between two people. Then, one person brandished a weapon. The video allegedly shows Young spotting the weapon, approaching the man, and opening fire.

Authorities say Terry wore a unique green and yellow teddy bear backpack to the parade. He also wore the bag in videos previously posted to his YouTube channel. Moreover, Young’s bag matched the one worn by the individual shooting in the surveillance video.

John Peters Baker, Jackson County Prosecutor, explained, “Everyone we’ve identified who discharged a firearm in response to the verbal altercation…has been taken into custody.”

The cell phone records from two other suspects reportedly linked Young to the crime. Authorities say a group chat allegedly included a text from him, per TMZ.

“I dropped that n**** first shot.”

Additionally, authorities stated social media connected Young to other men arrested for the shooting. They found Young’s Facebook page that allegedly revealed him kickin’ it with the individuals. Additionally, he bragged about guns.
