BAOW BAOW BAOW BAOW! Roommates, it looks like Nicki Minaj is ready for Sexyy Red to hop into the studio on her behalf. The ‘Pink Friday 2’ superstar publicly questioned Sexyy about her “verse” for the ‘FTCU’ remix early Thursday (April 4).

Nicki Minaj Asked & Sexyy Red Answered

Minaj checked Sexyy’s temperature about a collab via X (formerly Twitter). She wrote:

“You got your verse for #FTCU? Finna drop the remix @SexyyRed314_. Left #PoundTown to go #FTCU a remix for a remix?????” 

A few hours later, Sexyy shot back, “Song + video,” with a thinking face and side-eye emojis.

In response, Nicki kept it 100 about her capacity right now. She suggested that behind-the-scenes footage of a play date between their kids could be the music video.

“Miss lady, bring the kids & the stroller that’s all I got to offer right now. 😂 a play date. Let somebody film us bi$h 😩 sexy know DANG well we on tour in #gagcity Barbz. send me that verse right away pls ma’am. It’s a superstar (or 2) on there as well. 😝 GET IT SEXY!!!!!!”

And it looks like the idea works for Sexyy Red because she replied with a selfie featuring herself, her son and her infant daughter in her arms. The caption? “We otw,” with two kissy emojis.

What To Expect From Nicki & Sexyy’s Second Collab

For context, the Queen Barb’s schedule is stacked and packed. She has been gagging fans across the U.S. on her highly anticipated and reportedly sold-out tour. She’s been killing shows since the top of March despite canceling a single one due to a temporary illness. Mid-May will bring the end of the U.S. leg of the ‘Pink Friday 2’ tour, and Minaj will then head overseas to wow her European Barbz.

If Sexyy Red sends that verse in on time, this would mark the second music collab between the female rappers. You might recall that Minaj hopped on Sexyy’s ‘Pound Town 2’ with Tay Keith last year. It debuted at No. 14 on Hot Rap Songs and No. 21 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, per Billboard.

So, what did Minaj make clear about the potential ‘FTCU’ remix? First, Sexyy Red would be “the only other ‘lady’ besides “pink lady” on the remix. Second, the Barbz have no say so on the outcome, including which “superstar or 2” might appear on the forthcoming track.

Sexyy Red has been a hot topic on social media in the last week. From clapping back at critiques from Joe Budden to her song ‘Get It Sexyy’ going viral and allegedly getting booted from a high school appearance, the mother of two has had her hands more than full. One thing ’bout Red though, she gon’ hold it all while staying Sexyy — new hairdo included!
