Meek Mill Confirms That He Privately Apologized to Vanessa Bryant

Meek Mill does some amazing work for underserved communities in real life, but he can’t seem to catch a break on the Internet.

The Philly emcee began trending overnight after Vanessa Bryant called him out about his “disrespectful” lyrics about her husband, Kobe Bryant, in an unreleased collaboration with Lil Baby.

“I find this line extremely insensitive and disrespectful. Period,” the widow wrote. “I am not familiar with any of your music but I believe you can do better than this.”

Vanessa Bryant continued, “If you are a fan, fine, there’s a better way to show your admiration for my husband. This lacks respect and tact.”

Meek Mill was dragged for his poorly timed tweet that read, “I’m going back savage in this shit … f#%k ya feelings!”

The tweet was eventually deleted after many fans urged him to apologize to Vanessa. But apparently, he already did, in private.

“I apologized to her in private earlier today not to the public…Nothing I say on my page directed to a internet viral moment or the family of a grieving woman! If you care about someone grieving change the subject!” Meek wrote.

Do you think Meek should’ve publicly apologized to Vanessa or the Internet needs to take a chill pill?
